We’ve all heard that a lie repeated a thousand times becomes the truth, which in the “overconnected” world is more dangerous than ever. But if we go from macro scale of external world to micro scale of our own mind, we’ll find the statement equally true.
We all tell ourselves lies just not to admit we were wrong. Then come more lies built on top of previous ones. That’s when we lose to ourselves.
Since we all love to be right we end up having distorted view of others, based on what we think of people, not on how they really are. Then we try to imprint these distorted views in others, because it feels good if someone else shares our opinion. That’s when we lose to people around.
All built on lies and prejudice instead of openness and compassion.
