Posts » On being pescetarian
End of this month marks 4 years since I went pescetarian - for those of you unfamiliar, that’s not eating meat except for that coming from seafood.
I never was a heavy meat eater, so this change came pretty natural. I asked a friend once “do you eat meat every day?”, to which he replied “I try to”, whereas I quickly noted that “I try not to”. To this day my favourite food is cereal-based - oat flakes, bread or pancakes. Add something fatty to it, like olive oil, good cheese, or peanut butter and I’m sold.
I can crave for a banana, peach, or a watermelon, but meat? Never. Nowadays I occasionaly (~ once a month) eat fish meat but to be honest I feel guilty when I do so. There’s no difference between life of a chicken and a fish. Life lost is lost.
Perhaps the next natural step is to go fully vegetarian.
