How can we measure success, which itself is not measurable?

Some people measure it by how high they've climbed ladder(s) they are climbing.

Others measure it by the amount of money or valuables they've accumulated.

Some are measuring it indirectly by means of their children or grandchildren successes.

All those things can be measured and (above all else) compared.

But what about other things - friendship, love, pride, happiness, or attitude?

Those can be measured but are truly hard to compare with others.

Even if they were comparable, what's the point of arguing whether someone is more loved than someone else?

Our minds are wired to compare, and unfortunately our society is wired to value comparable things.

Maybe the true measure of success is valuing that which is uncomparable?
